caught in the act
While in Paris 2.5 years ago we went on a canal tour that takes you through part of the Paris sewer system. As we made our way over towards the Left Bank I saw this dude along the canal working on some graffiti. He was just a few yards down from an artsy looking bar/cafe. I got a bunch of shots as we floated by. Somewhere I probably have a wider shot that shows the entire wall all along the bank that was covered with graffiti. What impressed me about this dude was the fact that he was so very obvious about what he was doing and that he was talking on his cell phone the entire time. It made me wonder whether this was a government sanctioned act, as in “we’ll let you graffiti the back side of this stretch of buildings if you promise not to graffiti anywhere else,” but I don’t know if Paris does that kind of thing. Anyway, we didn’t get a chance to walk around the Left Bank at all but there were a lot of places we saw by boat that I wish we’d gotten to visit.
